Objectives

Objectives are under development. Their behavior and interface may change.

An Objective turns one entry into a practical home for a body of work. It keeps the related task structure under that entry together and gives AI a clear place to continue from.

Use an Objective for bounded work

Choose an entry that represents the outcome you want, then organize its child entries as the work needed to reach it. The Objective uses that local structure as its scope, rather than treating your entire Verse as one task.

This makes it useful for work such as a feature, research question, release preparation, or a focused cleanup.

Run a guided AI work loop

An Objective can run an AI agent through a small, repeatable operating procedure. Each iteration works from the current entry structure and records its progress, so you can review what happened and decide whether to continue.

It is semi-autonomous: AI can take the next useful step within the Objective's scope, but you retain control of the work, its structure, and whether to give it more iterations.

Keep the structure useful

Use short, concrete entries for the outcome, constraints, and next tasks. Update the structure when you learn something important. The Objective is a convenient work container, not a replacement for planning or review.
